Whipped Chocolate Cream
- 2 TBSP powdered hot chocolate mix
- 5 TBSP heavy whipping cream
Drink Base
- ¾ cup chocolate milk
- Optional: marshmallows and/or shaved chocolate for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Whipped Chocolate Cream: In a small mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and powdered hot chocolate mix. Whisk or beat with a mixer until the mixture becomes fluffy and light.
- Heat Chocolate Milk: Heat the chocolate milk in the microwave for 1-2 minutes depending on your microwave wattage and your desired temperature. For younger children, you may prefer to keep the chocolate milk warm instead of hot.
- Assemble the Drink: Spoon the fluffy whipped chocolate cream on top of the warmed chocolate milk. Garnish with marshmallows and/or shaved chocolate if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- If you don’t have powdered hot chocolate mix, you can substitute with unsweetened cocoa powder and sugar to taste.
- Use chilled heavy whipping cream for better whipping results.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream and chocolate milk with coconut cream and almond milk chocolate blend.
- Adjust sweetness by adding extra sugar or sweetener to the whipped cream if needed.
