Main Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries
- 4 ounces rum
- 3 ounces simple syrup
- 1 ounce lime juice
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them in half. Freeze half of the berries (8 ounces) to use in the cocktail.
- Blend Ingredients: Once the berries are frozen, place the fresh and frozen strawberries into the jar of a high-speed blender. Add the rum, simple syrup, and lime juice, then blend until smooth and well combined.
- Garnish and Serve: Pour the daiquiri into glasses and garnish with an extra strawberry and/or a slice of lime for a decorative touch.
- Nonalcoholic Option: To make a nonalcoholic version, omit the rum and replace it with 4 ounces of water, then blend as directed.
Notes
- If you don’t want to wait for berries to freeze, use 4 ounces frozen strawberries and 4 ounces fresh strawberries instead.
- You can adjust the amount of rum to taste; if you reduce it, adding some water may be necessary depending on your blender’s capacity.
- Adjust the simple syrup to your preferred sweetness and depending on the natural sweetness of your strawberries.
- Use any type of rum you prefer: white rum or coconut rum works well, but spiced or dark rum would also add delicious variations.
