Ingredients

Units Scale

Liquid

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Dairy

  • 5.3 ounces nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt (1 single serving cup)

Fruit

  • 1 medium frozen banana (about 3 oz/91g)
  • 5 frozen sliced strawberries (about 2.5 oz/70g)
  • 5 apple slices (about 2.5 oz/76g)

Optional

  • Sweetener of choice (honey, agave, or stevia) as desired
  • Protein powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients. Slice and freeze the banana and strawberries at least 2 hours ahead if they are not already frozen, and slice the apple.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender. Pour the unsweetened vanilla almond milk into the blender, then add the nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt, frozen banana, frozen sliced strawberries, and apple slices.
  3. Blend Smooth. Blend all ingredients on high until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve. Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately for best taste and texture.
  5. Store Leftovers. If there are any leftovers, store them in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours.

Notes

  • Slice and freeze banana and strawberries at least 2 hours before blending for the best texture.
  • You can substitute any nondairy milk, nonfat milk, water, or apple juice instead of almond milk.
  • Use any plain or flavored yogurt of any fat content, including regular yogurt instead of Greek if preferred.
  • Fuji or Gala apples work well but you can use any apple variety.
  • Add honey, agave, or stevia to sweeten the smoothie as desired.
  • For added protein, include a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
