Filling
- 1 lbs. taco meat
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 25 mini cherry tomatoes, halved
- 50 scoop chips
Instructions
- Prepare taco meat: Use your preferred taco meat recipe or refer to the Crunch Wraps recipe to cook and season 1 pound of ground meat until fully cooked and flavorful.
- Prep vegetables and toppings: Shred the iceberg lettuce and cheddar cheese. Slice cherry tomatoes in half. Place sour cream into a sandwich bag, cut a small corner off, and set aside for piping.
- Assemble taco bites: Arrange scoop chips on a large serving platter. Add about ½ teaspoon of taco meat to each chip.
- Add sour cream and toppings: Pipe a small amount of sour cream over the taco meat on each chip, then add shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and top with half a cherry tomato.
- Serve immediately: Present the assembled taco bites fresh for the best texture and taste as a delightful party appetizer.
Notes
- Use sturdy scoop chips to hold the toppings without breaking.
- For a spicier version, add a dash of hot sauce or chopped jalapeños to the meat.
- These bites are best served fresh to keep the chips crisp.
- You can substitute iceberg lettuce with shredded romaine for a different texture.
- If sour cream is not preferred, Greek yogurt can be used as a healthier alternative.
