Description
Create spooky and fun Halloween Spider Energy Balls using chocolate energy balls, candy eyeballs, and black licorice laces or dark fruit leather to craft edible spider legs. Perfect for a festive snack or party treat that’s easy to assemble and visually delightful.
Ingredients
Energy Balls
- varied amount chocolate energy balls (soft and preferably date-based)
Decorations
- candy eyeballs, 2 per energy ball
- black licorice laces or dark fruit leather (blueberry, blackberry, etc.), cut into thin strips for legs
Instructions
- Add eyeballs: Press two candy eyeballs firmly onto each chocolate energy ball to create the spider’s eyes.
- Attach legs: Cut licorice laces or fruit leather into small strips, then gently insert four legs on each side of the energy ball to mimic spider legs.
- Repeat: Continue decorating all energy balls you want to transform into Halloween spider snacks, ensuring the legs and eyes are securely attached.
Notes
- Use soft energy balls for easier pressing of the eyeballs and inserting the legs.
- Date-based energy balls are ideal because they tend to be sticky and soft.
- If using energy balls stored in the fridge, allow them to come to room temperature first to soften for better decorating.
