- 1 package yogurt-covered pretzels
- or 1 package milk chocolate-covered pretzels
Decorations
- Colored candy melts (orange, red, green, yellow), quantity as needed
- 1/2 cup sprinkles, jimmies, nonpareils, dots, or mini M&Ms for pupils
Instructions
- Prepare Pretzels: Lay out the yogurt or milk chocolate-covered pretzels evenly on a piece of wax paper to prepare for decorating.
- Melt Candy Melts: Heat the colored candy melts according to the package directions until smooth. Transfer the melted candy melts into a piping bag or a convenient tool for precise piping.
- Pipe Candy Melts: Carefully pipe the colored candy melts into the top left and right holes of each pretzel to form eyes.
- Add Sprinkles: Immediately after piping, quickly add the sprinkles or miniature candies into the piped candy melts to create the pupils before the melts set.
- Set the Pretzels: Allow the candy melts and sprinkles to set completely at room temperature until firm.
- Store: Once set, pack and store the decorated pretzels in an airtight container to keep fresh.
Notes
- Work in batches of about 6 pretzels at a time to add sprinkles before candy melts set for optimal sticking.
- You can use mini M&Ms as pupils for variety.
