Description

Halloween Pretzels are a fun and festive treat featuring yogurt or milk chocolate-covered pretzels decorated with colorful candy melts and sprinkles to resemble spooky eyes. Perfect for Halloween parties and easy to make with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 package yogurt-covered pretzels
  • or 1 package milk chocolate-covered pretzels

Decorations

  • Colored candy melts (orange, red, green, yellow), quantity as needed
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles, jimmies, nonpareils, dots, or mini M&Ms for pupils

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pretzels: Lay out the yogurt or milk chocolate-covered pretzels evenly on a piece of wax paper to prepare for decorating.
  2. Melt Candy Melts: Heat the colored candy melts according to the package directions until smooth. Transfer the melted candy melts into a piping bag or a convenient tool for precise piping.
  3. Pipe Candy Melts: Carefully pipe the colored candy melts into the top left and right holes of each pretzel to form eyes.
  4. Add Sprinkles: Immediately after piping, quickly add the sprinkles or miniature candies into the piped candy melts to create the pupils before the melts set.
  5. Set the Pretzels: Allow the candy melts and sprinkles to set completely at room temperature until firm.
  6. Store: Once set, pack and store the decorated pretzels in an airtight container to keep fresh.

Notes

  • Work in batches of about 6 pretzels at a time to add sprinkles before candy melts set for optimal sticking.
  • You can use mini M&Ms as pupils for variety.
  • Use wax paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain crispness.
  • Ensure candy melts are fully melted and smooth for easy piping.
