Scale
Dip Ingredients
- 250 g boiled and shredded chicken
- 50 g mozzarella grated
- 70 g cheddar grated
- 120 ml ranch sauce
- 250 g cream cheese
- 240 ml ketchup
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Dough Ingredients
- 1 ready-made pizza dough 400 g (~1 lb)
- 150 g cheddar cheese cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 200° C/319° F to prepare for baking the dough and pizza dip.
- Prepare the Dip: Place shredded chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, ranch sauce, cream cheese, and ketchup into a bowl. Season with salt and pepper, then mix thoroughly with your hands wearing disposable gloves until well combined.
- Roll and Cut Dough Shapes: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured board using a rolling pin. Cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth shapes for the monster face using a knife.
- Bake Cut Dough Pieces: Transfer the cut-out shapes onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes, then set aside for final assembly.
- Shape Dough Balls: Cut the remaining dough into 16 equal pieces and shape each into a small ball. Place a cube of cheddar in the center of each ball and seal the dough around the cheese.
- Arrange Dough and Dip in Skillet: Arrange the cheddar-stuffed dough balls around the edge of a large ovenproof skillet, leaving a space in the center. Spread the prepared dip mixture in the middle space.
- Bake All Together: Bake the skillet in the oven for 35 minutes or until the dough balls are golden brown and the dip is heated through.
- Assemble Monster Face: Remove the skillet from the oven and place the baked dough shapes for the eyes, nose, and mouth on top of the dip to create the monster face. Serve hot.
Notes
- Chef’s tip: Substitute the cream cheese with yogurt for a lighter variation.
- You can use store-bought shredded chicken or rotisserie chicken to save time.
- Make sure to seal the dough balls tightly around the cheddar cubes to prevent cheese leakage while baking.
- If ranch sauce is unavailable, use a combination of mayonnaise and herbs as a substitute.
- For added flavor, sprinkle some Italian herbs or chili flakes over the dip before baking.
