Main Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 cups milk
- 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Beef & Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 6 minutes, breaking it up until browned. Stir in minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add Liquid & Pasta: Pour in beef broth and milk, stirring well. Add pasta and Italian seasoning, ensuring the pasta is mostly submerged. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.
- Make it Creamy: Reduce heat to low and stir in grated parmesan cheese and butter until melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust seasoning as needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth to loosen it.
- Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese. Serve the pasta hot, ideally accompanied by garlic bread or a side salad for a complete meal.
Notes
- Make it extra creamy by swapping milk for heavy cream.
- Add mushrooms or spinach before simmering to enhance flavor and nutrition.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
